COMMUNITY NEEDS SURVEY:
As part of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Services Board FY2018 Strategic Plan, we aspire to better understand how our community hears about, accesses and experiences behavioral health and developmental services. We were very interested in a designing a tool that allowed us to scan clients, stakeholders and “the general population” around current experiences with us, possible gaps in services, and a means to measure the effect of changes we have made in the future.
How do we know what else our community needs? Thus far we have used national trends, state mandates or release of funds specific to a need, and general feedback from clients or stakeholders when it’s offered. While these are not bad ways to collect information, we also believe that asking a large number of clients, family, stakeholders and citizens might give us a better indication of what the barriers are to accessing services and even what seems to be missing.
The first HRCSB Community Needs Assessment has been developed by a hard-working group of employees, in partnership with Sentara RMH Medical Center representation, and is ready for the first release via the below Survey Monkey link (also posted on our website www.hrcsb.org ).
We will close down the Survey Monkey link on March 15, 2018. Please know that we believe that the results of this survey should be shared such that other partnering agencies could use the outcomes in strategic planning for their own purposes…and ultimately how we collaborate and work together.
Thank you for taking a moment to complete this survey.
