She continued her education at Virginia Tech and later transferred to James Madison University, where she earned both her Bachelor and Master degree.
During her first 14 years at BHS, Mrs. Knick taught English 10 and English 12, which typically included collaborative and EL sections (she was fortunate to co-teach with several of the current English teachers, as well as Mrs. Madison, her administrative partner!). Throughout her teaching career, she kept busy as a night school teacher, Saturday school teacher, homebound teacher, SCA sponsor, Community Involvement Club sponsor, as well as spending her last several years as the English department head. Mrs. Knick became an assistant principal in the 2018-2019 school year, and continues to insist that working at Broadway High School is the best job in the world. She resides in the town of Broadway with her husband Ethan and their two children, Virgil and Kaylie. When she is not at school, Mrs. Knick can be found in her kitchen baking treats for her friends, family, and neighbors for her side business, Be Kind Bakery. She also enjoys spending time with her family (especially at the beach!) and their many pets (two old dogs, two naughty kittens, two energetic hamsters, and one mischievous pastel ball python). Mrs. Knick is an incredibly proud Gobbler, and is looking forward to many more years to come!
