Attention juniors and seniors! A representative from JMU will be visiting BHS on Thursday October 16th at 9:30. A representative from ODU will be here on October 20th at 9:30. If you are interested in attending see Mrs. Walton in Counseling.

The following schools will be visiting BHS next week. On Tuesday October 7th Mary Baldwin will be here at 9:30. On Thursday October 9th Bridgewater College will be here at 9:30 and on Friday October 10th Virginia Tech will be here at 9:30. Groups will be meeting in the counseling office. Let Mrs. Walton know if you are interested.

The PSAT will be given at BHS on Tuesday, October 28th. To register to take the test, bring a check or cash for $18 (payable to BHS) to Mrs. Walton in the Counseling Office. Fee Waivers are available for 11th grade students who have free/reduced lunches.
The deadline for registration is Friday October 10th at 3pm. Please reach out to your counselor if you have any questions.

The Broadway High School 2025 Homecoming Dance is coming up on October 18th at BHS! Students can buy tickets the week before, October 9-17th during Advisory in the library. If they are not here for Advisory times, they can talk with Ms. Putney. Make sure you participate in Spirit Week October 14th-17th and show up to our Homecoming Parade at 5:00 and home football game at 7:00 on the 17th. Everyone/every grade is welcome!!

Hello Broadway Community! The application for the 2025 Broadway High School Parade is now available! Applications are available on the BHS website under the More menu. The parade is happening on Friday, October 17th at 5pm. Dungeons and Dragons Club is a place for students to come together to play and discuss Dungeons and Dragons, one of the most popular tabletop roleplaying games. We will be having our first meeting Friday, September 19 from 3:15 to 5:00 in the small commons. You must have a signed permission slip to stay after school. Please pick up a permission slip from Ms. Trombetta in 211 or Mrs. Leigh-Miller in 273 before Friday and return them to the same rooms.

This morning, the GoldStars Tribute Wall arrived at Broadway High School at the welcome of students and staff. The wall honors the fallen while serving in the United States military from the beginning of the Gulf War through the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Once the wall was assembled, BHS students were given the opportunity to visit the wall. This is the first time it has been displayed in Virginia. To see exclusive video and interviews go to the GNN Facebook or Instagram pages. The GoldStars Tribute Wall is open to the public 24/7 until Sunday afternoon.

Attention seniors, a rep from Radford University will be visiting BHS on Thursday September 18th during advisory. If interested let Mrs. Walton know in the Counseling Dept.

Ready to audition for The Sound of Music? On Thursday, September 25th, we'll be having our musical interest meeting at 3:15 in the choir room. You can pick up your audition materials, ask questions, and get prepared for the upcoming auditions. Please arrive promptly at 3:15!

Attention seniors, a rep from UVA will be visiting BHS on Wednesday September 10th at 9:15. Please sign up in the Counseling Dept with Mrs. Walton.

Student schedule change forms are now available in the Counseling Center. The last day to turn in a form will be September 4th.

BHS state softball championship gear is available for purchase for a limited time at https://bsnteamsports.com/shop/BHSSBSTCHM. A variety of short-sleeve, long-sleeve, and hoodies are available, 23 items in total. All proceeds go towards the purchase of rings for the team. Orders must be placed before July 16th. Go Gobblers!

Day 2 of the State Track Meet was exciting!  Tristan Yoder was a State Champion in both the 1600 meter run and 3200 meter run where he set a new meet record for Class 3 with a time of 9:06.45!! Uriah Rutan placed 2nd in the 400-meter run with a new school record of 48.94. Jaiden Santos Nguyen placed 6th in the 3200-meter run.  Uriah Rutan placed 6th in the 200-meter dash. The boys team placed 3rd as a team! Afterward, graduating seniors celebrated with their parents, coaches, and teammates their own special Commencement. Today graduating seniors visited their elementary schools for the elementary school walk-through. Congratulations Seniors!

Any senior that is planning on going into the military after graduation please stop by the Counseling Dept and let Mrs. Walton know before Friday.

Broadway Girls' Softball will be hosting a Home Run Derby and Bat-a-Thon Fundraiser on May 3rd at 10:30 on the softball field. For an entry fee of 20.00 (or donations can be made), you are guaranteed a good time! Various age groups available and all participants will receive free admission into the home BHS and TA game that following Friday, May 9th. Please reach out to any BHS softball player for details.
