Dear Parents & Families, We're thrilled to introduce a new feature in our district app called Rooms! This platform is designed for seamless communication between staff and families, making it easier than ever to stay informed about school updates and activities. As we roll out this new tool, we're starting with a small group of teachers, all spring sports coaches, and our Middle School and High School Principals. While not all staff members will immediately transition to using Rooms as their primary communication tool, we're moving in that direction and aim to have full implementation by the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year. Stay tuned for more information and resources as we continue the rollout. Effective communication is essential to our school community's success, and we're excited to embark on this journey with you through Rooms!

These students were absolutely phenomenal, not just in their performances, but in their support for one another and their excitement to work as part of a team. Ms. Tewalt, Mrs. Goodwyn, and Mrs. McGovern cannot wait to work with this absolutely amazing group!

The third of the Six Pillars is "Responsibility". Do what you are supposed to do. Try your best. Persevere. Keep on trying. Be accountable for your words, actions, and attitudes. We show responsibility when we arrive at school each day ready to learn, make friends, and be kind. Come out and support the BHS Class of 2024 at Sweets Ice Cream tonight! From 4-8, your delicious dessert treat purchases will help the BHS class of 2024!

On Wednesday, September 27th, Sweets Ice Cream in Broadway will be hosting BHS Senior Night to help raise money for the exciting activities that the Class of 2024 has planned. Come on down for some amazing ice cream, a great cause, and a SWEET time!

The BHS SCA is excited to let you know that applications are now available for the 2023 Homecoming Parade! This year's theme is Disco: Dance the Night Away and the parade will begin at 5pm on 9/29. Please reach out to Ann Hill if you have any questions.

Congratulations to Andrew Lough, a Technology Education teacher at Broadway High School! He was recognized this week as the Virginia Technology and Engineering Education Association Teacher of the Year. VTEEA’s Teacher of the Year Award is one of the highest honors given to Technology and Engineering Education classroom teachers. It is presented to recognize their outstanding contributions to the profession and their students. 🎉
